Post-Grunge is a sub genre of Alternative Rock influenced by the initial Grunge explosion of the early 90′s so in 1994 many bands started to hit the scene with a little more radio friendly form of the music and supplanting Grunge as the most popular rock music of the mid 90′s (94-96) Many of these bands were usually called just Alternative rock though some were mislabeled as Grunge.But non the less Post grunge does not refer to to an era of rock music after Grunge popularity vanished because Grunge was still popular during 94-96, but coexisted with Post Grunge though the best era of the music has past(94-00) it still remains popular till this day over 16 years later but with new bands.
